Leaders Share Glory

"I have given them the glory you given me." - Jesus

(John 17:22)

Glory is honor, esteem, and splendor. Leaders share glory.

God calls us to glory (2 Peter 1:3) and empowers us with glory. He requires of us the highest standards and shares with us His achievement of that standard, even though we are striving yet to attain it. This is what godly leaders do. Godly leaders call for, model, and share glory. Since leadership is about influencing others to enjoy implementing vision, the leader understands that people are the ones who need to be honored. This shared honor makes the journey more enjoyable. As he gets honor, he points back to those following and honors them. As he succeeds, he ensures others get much of the credit for the success. As he receives glory, he glorifies others.
